so as we know, we have recently fallen in love Yosef Perez
fact: they are an unbelievably moving clothing label based out of Tel Aviv featuring incredible prints, textures and gorgeous silhouettes
fact: believe it or not you can find them on etsy (altho who knows for how long)
fact: adam got me a a pair of their leggings for my birthday
fact: i really want them to get here.
anywho, as we also know, Adam was amazing and started a conversation with Yosef Perez which crescendoed in a really incredible letter wishing me and my line all of the best. phenom.
now i’ve been chatting with them, and they’ve sent me a bunch of info n images about their latest collection and i absolutely love it all! it is much darker, somewhat goth-y, but still with a playful sensibility and a ton of opulence.
“Intrigues of the 1920s “Twenty Panky
“The inspiration for the “Twenty Panky” collection originated from the 1929 silent surrealist short film “Un Chien Andalou” by the Spanish director Luis Bunuel and artist Salvador Dali. The films deal with phobias as it conveys sensations of fear, ugliness and madness alongside those of calm, beauty and esthetics.” Yosef Perez
“The collection tries to immortalize the glory of the “roaring 20’s” with a “rock and roll” look.” Yosef Perez
can we just cuddle up in giant sweaters, leather shorts and feather headdresses?
perfect for holiday weekends…
i hope you’re having a wonderful holiday weekend!
we’re in Rhode Island for the weekend and the weather is just stunning. we are going to walk down to the beach soon to smell some salty air and watch the waves crash on the rocks… and we wont even need coats!
every year my mother and i cook Thanksgiving dinner for my whole family. Adam helps by chopping and prepping, my father makes a cheesecake and everyone else shows up with some sort of appetizer and healthy appetites!
carrot soup with sweet pea cream, served in my great grandmothers china.
we only use the Meito gold encrusted china a few times a year, and i just adore it when we do. i love to think about all the special meals that have been served on these dishes, how many family members and friends that have used these over the last 80+ years…
turkey, cranberry, mashed potatoes, yams and butternut squash, stuffing, string beans and braised brussel sprouts with bacon and a maple syrup glaze
pumpkin spice cheesecake — the perfect balance of creamy goodness, fall flavors and just the perfect amount of sweet
i love mixing the different textures of beige: sheer top/supple leather bag/ hard patent leather oxfords with the drapey acid yellow trouser and Christopher Kane wallet.. and i die for those Versace earrings!
